Man convicted of attempted murder fails to return to Davenport correctional facility

Authorities are searching for a man convicted of attempted murder who failed to report back to the Davenport Residential Corrections Facility.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Authorities are searching for a man convicted of attempted murder who failed to report back to the Davenport Residential Corrections Facility.

According to an Iowa Department of Corrections news release, 22-year-old Kamario Hill failed to report back to the facility on the night of Monday, June 3. 

Hill is described as a Black male standing 6-feet-2 inches tall and weighing 255 pounds. 

Anybody with information on Hill's whereabouts should call 911. 

Hill was convicted of attempted murder in connection to the June 2016 shooting death of Ayana Culbreath. She was shot in the chest and killed when rival gangs started shooting at each other during a backyard party at a home off Warren Street in Davenport.
