DAVENPORT, Iowa — Classes at Madison Elementary School in Davenport will resume on Monday, Dec. 2, according to school officials.
School officials said several classrooms will need to be moved, and these changes will be communicated to families beforehand.
Classes were temporarily canceled after a fire broke out inside a second-floor classroom on Sunday. The classroom in which the fire started sustained heavy fire and smoke damage while second-floor hallways sustained minor smoke staining.
No injuries were reported by civilians or firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
