KNOX COUNTY, Ill. — One man is in jail after being accused of trying to solicit a minor.

According to the Knox County Sheriff's Department, deputies met with the president of "Bikers Against Predators," on Saturday, Oct. 14. At that meeting, the president said that a member of the organization, posing as a 13-year-old girl, had been communicating with an adult male called "Nick" in Knoxville.

Deputies eventually arrested 38-year-old Nicholas Bailey of Knoxville, and he was charged with indecent solicitation of a child. After Bailey's arrest, the sheriff's department put out the following statement:

"While the Sheriff’s Office appreciates the support of organizations such as Bikers Against Predators, it is the stance of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office not to encourage vigilante activities and to contact law enforcement to conduct thorough investigations into any criminal activity."
