JDC Chairman says Tournament is on Track

SILVIS, Illinois – The John Deere Classic has faced plenty of hazards this year: a change in dates, no returning champion,  competition from the Olympics, no Bill Murray, and torrential rains.

But Tournament Chairman Paul Scranton says early indications are that the 2016 Classic is on par with the past four years.

"Last year we hit it out of the ballpark with so many different things," said Scranton.

He credits staff and more than 1700 volunteers for keeping the tournament on track.

"Our staff and our volunteers continue to do what they do and just amaze us every day to get the best field we can," he said.
