Iowa 80 Truck Stop opens new distribution center

The 251,000 square foot facility will house the truck stop's accessories sold on its online store and also offers additional space to rent out.

WALCOTT, Iowa — The World's Largest Truck Stop just got a bit larger.

On Tuesday, Feb. 27, officials at Iowa 80 Truck Stop cut the ribbon on the facility's new distribution center. The warehouse has ten loading docks and 251,000 square feet of space. Just under half of that space will be used to house trucking accessories sold on Iowa 80's online store, and the remaining space is open for rent.

"We needed more space. Things are going well for us. We're expanding, and mainly it's just the safety of this new facility. We've got 10,000 square feet of fireproof room for additives and different things we sell to customers," Delia Moon Meier with Iowa 80 said.
