ROCK ISLAND, Ill. — Road crews in Rock Island are preparing for an upcoming construction project along 3rd Avenue.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Dec. 4, 3rd Avenue will be closed between 18th and 19th Streets as repairs begin on a water main. Depending on the weather, normal traffic is anticipated to return by the end of that week.
Detour signs will be posted near this location to remind drivers to take an alternate route.
