DAVENPORT, Iowa — Hy-Vee is closing its supermarket on Rockingham Road in Davenport.
On Friday afternoon, a company spokesperson said "We will be permanently closing the Hy-Vee on Rockingham at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Unfortunately, this location has not met our financial expectations over the past several years."
Current employees at the Rockingham location will be offered a position at another Hy-Vee store in the area, according to a news release. They will also retain the same rate of pay and their existing benefits. Pharmacy customers will have their prescriptions transferred to another Hy-Vee pharmacy and will receive a letter in the mail with additional information.
Davenport customers will still be able to use Hy-Vee Aisles Online for grocery and pharmacy delivery.
