GALESBURG, Ill. — Galesburg residents that rely on the four local bus routes can now use the Galesburg Transit app to track buses and receive notifications on schedule changes.
The app, available on iOS and Android devices, shows which routes are currently active, a map of routes, estimated arrival times, bus locations and fares.
Galesburg operates four fixed bus routes from Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. Each departs from the Downtown Transfer point, located at Main Street and Prairie Street, then makes a 30-minute or one-hour loop.
The project was funded through a State Capital Grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation, part of the 2020 Rebuild Illinois Capital Program.
