Freight House Farmers Market temporarily moves to new home due to flooding

The market will be held in the parking lot of the Scott County Administrative Center until flood waters recede.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — As flood waters continue to rise around the Quad Cities, the Freight House Farmers Market is moving to a new home.

Market officials said that floodwaters from the Mississippi River have spilled over into their lot. Until the waters recede, the market will be held at the Scott County Administrative Center parking lot, located at 600 W. Fourth St.

The market will be open to shoppers from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.
