A popular granola bar is being recalled because an ingredient used in them could be contaminated with Listeria.
Four flavors of Nature Valley Protein Chewy and Simple Nut bars have been recalled in relation to the sunflower kernel supplier SunOpta's ongoing national recall, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The following granola bars are part of this recall (see photos below):

If you have any of these products, the FDA is urging consumers to throw them away "regardless of when they were purchased or what date is on the package." You can contact General Mills Consumer Relations at 1-866-896-4365 for a replacement.
“We know this is inconvenient for consumers who love these four flavors,” said Anton Vincent, President of General Mills Snacks Division. “We promise they will return as soon as it is safe to do so.”
The FDA said that this recall "only affects four flavors of Nature Valley's nearly 40 different products. Nature Valley's other products are not affected by this recall." The recall does not impact other General Mills products that use sunflower kernels.
There have been no direct reports of confirmed illnesses from this issue, according to the FDA.
