DAVENPORT, Iowa — The Figge Art Museum is offering free admission for the entire month of July.
The Museum has several programs planned in July, including staff-led tours, the art cart in selected galleries for in-depth conversations, the Big Picture in the House every Wednesday, special programming for Thursdays at the Figge, art classes, camps and more.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy five current exhibitions, including Pop Power from Warhol to Koons: Masterworks from the Collections of Jordan D. Schnitzer and His Family Foundation.
Laura Wreidt, the museum's community engagement coordinator, joined The Current on News 8 to talk about the initiative and what other events they'll be hosting.
"We're so fortunate that we've had lots of kind of regulars that come in the summertime that we get to see. But you know, there's always new people. And every time we get new people through those doors, we have them respond in such a way, you know, like, 'I had no idea this place was so cool,'" Wreidt said.
