THOMSON, Ill. — FCI Thomson has lifted its weeks-long lockdown.
According to AFGE Local 4070 Union President Jon Zumkehr, the facility returned to normal operations on Monday, May 27.
A Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) spokesperson told News 8 last month that FCI Thomson was placed on lockdown on Thursday, Apr. 25, after the FBOP received "critical information that a firearm may have been introduced."
