How you can support QCA artists this weekend

Once a month for the past 18 months, the Eclectic Market has provided a way for artists to get together to sell their homemade goods.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — During this time of year, small businesses count on support from their communities. Now, a newer market is helping bridge that connection between the community and Quad City area artists.

Suzon Robbins created the Eclectic Market 18 months ago. It's held monthly, often on the last Sunday of the month unless there's a holiday. The December market is happening this Sunday, Dec. 15, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Great River Brewery in Davenport.

Suzon switches the artists monthly so every market is new and everyone has a chance to make some money. DJ Ramiro the Haj comes too to provide the soundtrack for the shopping.

"I tell people to come check it out even if they have no money," Suzon said. "It's such a vibe, kind people, lots of love and creativity."

You can follow the Eclectic Market on Facebook for updates on the monthly markets.
