YMCA offers Income-Based Membership Pricing

Local YMCA facilities have implemented membership fees based on income.

Local YMCA facilities have implemented membership fees based on income.

The purpose of making membership fees Income-Based is to make the YMCA’s services available to more people.

“Every type of body, every type of person, every time of age, we’ve got something for you,” said Frank Klipsch IV, the Scott County Y's communications director. “Let’s get over the hurdle of the finances and get you engaged with living this lifestyle everyday and that’s what we’re trying to accomplish here.”

Klipsch said the public is invited to visit the Two Rivers YMCA in Moline, or one of the four Scott County locations to see what they have to offer.

Households that bring in less than $50,000 annually are eligible for Income-Based Membership Pricing. Click here for more frequently asked questions.

"We see the biggest barrier is almost always financial," Klipsch said.

A rate calculator on the YMCA’s website will tell members how much their fee will cost.
