A crash involving three semis and at least one other vehicle closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80 near Northwest Boulevard in Davenport, Iowa.
The wreck happened before 7:30 a.m. and continued to block all eastbound lanes at 8 a.m.
Police said three semis were among the vehicles involved in the wreck. One of the semis was leaking fuel on the road. Crews had to put Oil Dri on the road to clean up the spill. Iowa State Troopers on scene say that no one was ever in danger.
The left lane of eastbound I-80 appeared to be open by about 8:20 a.m. but traffic was moving very slowly past the wreck. Traffic was able to get by the wreck but emergency vehicles and activity continued on the right shoulder.
A tow truck drove away with the last vehicle involved in the crash a few minutes before 9 a.m. All lanes of traffic near that intersection are now back open.
