WILTON, Iowa--More than 100 years of class reunions came to a close in Wilton with a game of softball, Sunday June 19.
Almost all of the school's former women's softball players teamed up to play in the first Wilton High School Alumni softball tournament. The group spent much of the week together, celebrating their last reunion before the old school building is torn down and replaced with a new building in the area.
Many of the attendees picked up right where they left off with old friends and new traditions.
"It just seems like you just fall right back into it, you know you get out there, you're with your friends and I was really nervous coming in, but as soon as I got here and started taking some grounders and hanging out with my girls, it was all good," says Rachel Madlock an WHS alumni from the class of '88.
The money raised during the game will go towards women's athletics and Wilton High School's softball program for next year's students.
