In the name of ending colon cancer, March 4 is “Dress in Blue Day.”
People are raising money and getting “blued” in hopes for a future that is colon cancer free. The Colon Cancer Alliance is heading the charge.
The “blue” day is always celebrated on the first Friday of March and is used to bring attention to colon cancer. It’s also about celebrating the courage of people battling the disease.
The Colon Cancer Alliance set a goal to raise $50,000 and had raised about 30% of that as of Friday, March 4, 2016.
Fundraising teams have gotten together to raise money for the cause, and so far had raised $4,170 collectively.
