Fire overwhelmed a van on Division Street in Davenport after a leak caused an explosion.
According to a spokesperson from the Davenport Fire Department, something leaking in the back of the van caused the explosion. Firefighters from stations three and seven showed up to the fire around 7:30 p.m.
The spokesperson said the driver of the van was inside the vehicle when the fire started. The driver was taken to an area hospital.
As video above shows, firefighters were able to knock down the fire in a short amount of time.
The Davenport Fire Department said firefighters were on scene for about an hour. They blocked off Division Street from 53rd Street to 49th Street while crews cleaned up the area.
More details into what caused the fire are still being investigated, according to the department.
