MOLINE, Illinois -- Moline Mayor Stephanie Acri was involved in a collision where two vehicles collided about a half-mile south of Hamilton School.
Police say the accident happened around 7:40 a.m. on Monday morning, December 4th at the intersection of 7th Street and 34th Avenue.
According to police, the Moline Fire Department had to extricate one of the people involved.
A total of three people, including Mayor Acri, were transported to Unity Point Hospital-Rock Island Campus with non-life threatening injuries.
A day after the crash, News 8 spoke with Mayor Acri about her condition. She said she spent Monday evening in the ICU, suffering broken ribs and a broken pelvis. She will not need surgery, but recovery will take between six and eight weeks.
The accident remains under investigation.
