OKLAHOMA CITY – For some, it is the thing of nightmares.

When KFOR photojournalist Travis Shutten arrived at his home, he noticed something strange along the eaves of his house.

Upon closer inspection, he noticed that what looked like a bird’s nest was actually a cluster of what he believes to be Daddy longlegs.

Daddy longlegs are not actually spiders, even though they have eight legs.

Experts say the insects belong to the Opiliones family and do not produce silk or venom.

They are generally beneficial and are known to eat spiders and plant pests.
