Closing the doors on opportunities and extracurriculars; it's a message these students want lawmakers to hear loud and clear.
"ROWVA High School, we do so much even though we're small. And if you took those things away, it would just be an empty shell. There would be nothing," says recent ROWVA graduate Katie England.
Being involved helped England not only in the classroom but in the real world. And she doesn't want her younger classmates to get anything less.
"I want them to grow up and know ROWVA High is amazing. We have good things, and we offer great things to help you be prepared for life," says England.
These students want lawmakers to hear it directly from them: something needs to change to keep these doors from closing for good.
ROWVA principal Joe Peters says the school district has enough money in reserves to last for six months. After that, not only will school activities end, the school will have to close for good.
