Two people were rescued from the Rock River tonight after they were reportedly fishing and began getting sucked in to the dam at the Steel Dam in Milan, Illinois.
Rescue crews were launched from Sunset Marina after receiving reports that two men were stuck in the Rock River just after 4 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014.
The men avoided being sucked into the dam by gribbing onto tree branches that hang just off over dam.
A banana boat was used to rescue line the trapped rafters just before 4:30 p .m. Milan Police say the two men were not injured.
