QUAD CITIES- Many MidAmerican customers may be without power due to severe thunderstorms.
As of 10 p.m. on May 16, MidAmerican was reporting over 1,000 power outages.
Those outages grew to more than 3,800 in the Quad Cities area by 11:10 p.m. Most of those affected are on the Illinois side of the river, with more than 3,700 customers without power. On the Iowa side there were about 130 customers affected.
By 4:30 a.m. there were fewer than 750 outages in the Quad Cities. Most of the outages were in Hillsdale.
Shortly before 6 a.m. their were about 455 customers in the Quad Cities without power.
By 11:20 a.m. fewer than 170 customers in the Quad Cities were without power.
