DAVENPORT, Iowa — New pickleball courts at Northwest Park in Davenport are open and in full swing.
The Quad Cities Pickleball Club started nine years ago with 30 members, but is growing in popularity.
"It's pretty easy to learn and as you can see, you don't have to be an expert. There is all level of play," said Chuck Cline with the club.
A dedication ceremony celebrated the addition of eight new pickleball courts Thursday, June 16.
Members say it's a fun game for all ages.
"Just come out and learn the game. It's great fun, it gets you off the couch and the young people - they are picking it up and they love it, too," said Barbara Shinbori.
