When an Andalusia home broke out in flames, the one person who was there at the time was able to escape.
One person was there when a home on 5th Avenue West started on fire. The blaze started on the back deck of the house around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, according to the Andalusia Fire Chief.
Along with Andalusia, the Reynolds Fire Department and the Illinois City Buffalo Prairie Fire Protection District responded to the fire. There were five tankers on scene.
There were no reported injuries, but the house was severely damaged and is unlivable in this condition.
