We know more about a shooting that happened this weekend in Rock Island.
On Saturday, Rock Island Police chased after a suspect with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
The pursuit ended with shots fired and that suspect wounded in the groin, according to the Rock Island County Integrity Task Force.
The subject had a handgun on him during the pursuit and that gun, as well as the officer’s guns, were taken in as evidence.
The shooting victim was transported to Trinity West and then later moved to St. Francis in Peoria with non life-threatening injuries.
No names have been released.
