The pastor of the Des Moines Apostolic Temple allegedly made threats toward someone during a recent address to his congregation.
In a video excerpt circulating online, Bishop Jeremiah Reed speaks about a telephone call he says was received, from someone accusing him of “holding folks back.” Reed then goes on to say there is “nobody that big, in the world, that cannot be hunted down.”
“And I got folks that will hunt you, and put you in the corn field, or drop you in the river with a weight on you, or cut your tongue out and leave it on your chest. That’s the kind of connections that I have,” Reed said. “And I want them to know that I am not a playboy. You pushed the wrong button, Jack.”
The remarks may have been directed toward Reed’s grandson, the report said. WHO-TV reported they were kicked off the property when they tried to speak with Bishop Reed.
There was no court record to indicate any criminal charge had been filed in connection with the alleged threat.
