DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A 34-year-old Des Moines man has been accused of using his belt to whip his son.
Online court records say Jeremy Polson is charged with child endangerment resulting in injury. His next hearing is scheduled for March 18. The records don’t list the name of an attorney who could be contacted to comment on Polson’s behalf.
A police report says the boy returned to his mother’s house after a weekend with his dad and said Polson had whipped him about 15 times with a belt. The boy told his mom the whipping was punishment for getting into trouble at school on January 29.
