Just west of the Quad City International Airport, two cars collided in a Milan intersection sending multiple people to the hospital.
The crash happened at the intersection of Rock Island-Milan Parkway and Indian Bluff Road on Saturday, April 25, 2015 before 2 p.m. A red car heading west and a grey car heading south somehow collided in that intersection, according to a Sgt. with the Milan Police Department.
Four people were taken to the hospital. One person was taken into custody at the scene, police said; it was not clear what his involvement in the crash was.
One lane was blocked in the area but traffic was moving smoothly.
The crash remains under investigation.
