A pick up driver was airlifted to the hospital after getting in a collision with a semi north of Geneseo.
The two vehicles crashed on Illinois Route 92 around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015.
According to the Geneseo Fire Chief, the pick up driver was making a left onto Illinois 92 when the semi driver, headed westbound, ran into the front driver side of the pick up. The collision happened at County Highway 1, otherwise known as Black Hill Road.
The pick up driver was airlifted to the hospital, the fire chief said. The semi driver was not injured.
Only one lane was open on Illinois Route 92 after the crash. It was expected to be cleaned up within a half hour.
