CHICAGO -- College students at several schools in Illinois will take part in a nationwide protest on Tuesday over Donald Trump's election to the White House.
The University of Chicago, Northwestern University, and UIC will do walk-outs. Groups at ISU and the University of Illinois will also participate.
At UIC shortly after noon, students began to gather in the "quad" for a rally. Dominic Marlow, Lead Organizer, Student Action UIC, says they're not just protesting against Trump, but also against the so-called "establishment."
They will also offer practical help, especially for undocumented students.
The National Network "Student Action" is encouraging a "Stop Trump" National Campus Walkout Day.
On Monday, students in Ohio, California, Oregon, Colorado, and Maryland demonstrated.
