AT&T sees massive Midwest outage

The Quad Cities have been spared so far, but more than 2,300 reports of outages have been reported to AT&T.

UPDATE: While AT&T saw nearly 6,000 reports of outages in the Midwest on Friday evening, Oct. 28, nearly everyone’s service was back up and running by Saturday morning. The outage map was showing no massive outages anywhere in the country, and by 10:30 a.m. had only received 70 reports of service disruptions.

Can’t get a hold of your family member on the phone? Chances are they’re victim of a massive AT&T service outage.

The Quad Cities isn’t showing a major outage on their map, but WQAD viewers are saying the QCs haven’t been spared from the service outage. As of 8:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, more than 4,000 reports of outages have been reported to AT&T.

The bulk of the complaints are in the Chicago and Indianapolis areas.
