Iowa Fertilizer is reportedly offering up to $30,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with a bomb threat at their facility in Wever, Iowa.
A statement, threatening a bomb would detonate ‘tomorrow’ inside the plant, was found on a wall inside a portable restroom at the plant Monday, July 20, 2015. Vehicles and the plant were searched, bomb-detection dogs were brought in, and the plant was evacuated before noon the next day.
No explosive device was found.
Now the company is offering a reward, up to $30,000, for information that helps them find and convict the person or persons who made the threat, according to an online post from Burlington Area Crime Stoppers.
“Iowa Fertilizer is assisting local, state, and federal authorities to investigate this serious situation,” the statement said.
Anyone with information should call police, or Burlington Area Crime Stoppers at 319-753-6835.
