Davenport woman arrested in Nebraska with large amounts of marijuana, mushrooms

According to Lancaster County Sheriff Chief Deputy Ben Houcin, McCandless was on her way "back home, Davenport is where she was going," when she was pulled over.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Neb. — A Davenport woman was arrested on Tuesday in Nebraska with an abundance of marijuana and mushrooms, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.

Chief Deputy Ben Houcin announced the arrest of 33-year-old Amanda McCandless in a Wednesday press conference. According to Houcin, McCandless was pulled over at I-80 exit 395 just west of Lincoln for improper lane change and driving on the shoulder of the road. A K9 was deployed before deputies found 18 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana, 1,628 THC vape pens, 3.6 pounds of THC oil, two pounds of hash and 10.6 pounds of mushroom chocolate bars.

According to Houcin, McCandless was on her way "back home, Davenport is where she was going," when she was pulled over. 

McCandless has been charged with two counts of intent to deliver and one count of possession of a controlled substance without drug stamps.
