DAVENPORT, Iowa — Summer is just around the corner, and that means it's the perfect time to enjoy one of the most popular seasonal pastimes—cooling off with a swim at the local pool!
The Fejervary Aquatic Center and Annie Wittenmyer Aquatic Center in Davenport are both ready for crowds of Quad Citizens to enjoy as they try to beat the heat. The pools opened for the season on Monday, June 3, with the two aquatic centers alternating the days they'll be open through Sunday, June 9. Then, on Monday, June 10, both pools will be open seven days a week through Sunday, August 18. Here's a rundown when you'll be able to take a dip.
Alternating Schedule: June 3 to June 9
Fejervary Aquatic Center
- Public Swim: Monday, June 3; Wednesday, June 5; Friday, June 7; and Sunday, June 9 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lap Swim: Monday, June 3; Wednesday, June 5; Friday, June 7; and Sunday, June 9 from noon to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Annie Wittenmyer Aquatic Center
- Public Swim: Tuesday, June 2; Thursday, June 4; and Saturday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lap Swim: Tuesday, June 2; Thursday, June 4; and Saturday, June 8 from noon to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Daily Schedule: June 10 to August 18
Annie Wittenmyer and Fejervary Aquatic Centers
- Public Swim: Monday to Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Lap Swim: Monday to Sunday | noon to 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Tickets for public swimming cost $5 each, but lap swimming only cost $2.
In addition to the aquatic centers, Centennial Spray Park and the splash pads at Cork Hill Park, Goose Creek Park and Peterson Park opened on May 27 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day through Monday, Sep. 2.
