DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport Police have arrested a 15-year-old male in connection to a shooting Wednesday, according to an email News 8 received from the department.
On Wednesday, Nov. 29 around 10 a.m., the Davenport Police Department responded to a shots fired call at the 1600 block of W. 29th Street.
Police were able to determine that a physical disturbance at the residence escalated to shots being fired, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Williams Intermediate School and Adams Elementary School, both located near the residence, were placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure, according to police. Police added that the incident was unrelated to either school, and students were dismissed at a normal time.
The juvenile was charged with going armed with intent, assault with a deadly weapon and minor in possession of a firearm. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Police say the incident remains under investigation and no other information is available as of Wednesday evening.
