Davenport wants your feedback about how to spend ARPA funds

Responses will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — The City of Davenport is looking for ideas on how to spend leftover funding it received from the American Rescue Plan Act.

The city was given nearly $41 million in ARPA funding back in 2021. That money went towards projects such as home revitalization, improving flood mitigation, adding a social worker to the Davenport Public Library and more. According to the city's website, they've spent approximately half of their ARPA allotment so far.

Now, officials want to hear from community members about what they can do with the remaining half. City officials said the money can be used for one-time quality-of-life improvements for the city or be used for more long-term investments. The feedback will be used to help create the spending plan the Davenport City Council will eventually vote on.

You can take the survey and leave your suggestions for where to spend the ARPA funding here. Responses will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

The city must have its ARPA funds allocated by December 31, 2024 and fully expended by December 31, 2026.
