Check your mailboxes, Davenport residents: City sends out community survey

The survey was mailed out to 5,000 randomly selected households.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — 5,000 Davenport households are receiving something a little extra in the mail.

City officials announced that they're conducting a survey of Davenport residents, where they're hoping to collect feedback on issues such as city services, public safety and other quality of life issues. Officials said they expect the survey to take approximately 15 minutes for residents to complete.

“The survey is a way to directly communicate with leadership and influence their decision-making during the budget process,” Davenport Mayor Mike Matson said in a press release. “The City is grateful to everyone who takes the time to fill out the survey and give input that helps us address many of the opportunities and challenges in our community.”

The survey's results are expected to be shared sometime in January 2025. This is the 10th such survey Davenport has conducted; it's given out every two years and started back in 2006. You can find the 2022 results here.
