DAVENPORT, Iowa — Andrew Wold, the owner of the former Davenport apartment building that collapsed in May 2023, has taken a plea deal following his November 2023 OWI arrest.
The filing was made on Tuesday, Sept. 3. According to court documents, Wold agreed to a sentence of 120 days in the Scott County Jail, with all but two days suspended. He also agrees to pay $1,250 in fines. Wold will be on unsupervised probation for a year.
On Wednesday, Nov. 22, Wold was arrested in Bettendorf for operating a vehicle while under the influence. According to the arrest report, Wold was seen driving around 54 mph in a 30 mph zone when he was pulled over. The officer's report noted that Wold had watery and bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. Wold refused to provide a breath test and was placed under arrest.
