Fatal bicycle crash victim identified as 27-year-old Davenport man

Davenport officials have identified the victim as 27-year-old Gage D. Williams from Davenport.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport police have named the victim in a fatal vehicle vs. bicyclist crash that occurred on Tuesday, March 12. 

Police have identified the victim as 27-year-old Gage D. Williams of Davenport. 

Williams was in the 7000 block of North Division Street around 3:30 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup truck driving southbound on Division Street.

The pickup truck driver, a 54-year-old man was taken to a hospital to be evaluated and has not been named. 

The incident is still under investigation by the Davenport Police Department Traffic Safety Unit with no further information released yet. 

A GoFundMe has been set up to support Williams' family with funeral costs and other expenses, which can be found here. A celebration of life is scheduled for Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. at LULAC Council 10, 4224 Ricker Hill Rd. in Davenport.
