17-year-old killed in Johnson County crash, ISP report says

The teenager was driving along I-380 when he left the roadway and collided with a concrete barrier. The driver was ejected, and the vehicle caught fire.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa — A 17-year-old is dead following an accident in Johnson County, Iowa early Saturday.

According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, the teenager was driving along I-380 near Coralville around 12:30 a.m. when he left the roadway and collided with a concrete barrier. The driver was ejected, and the vehicle caught on fire. 

The teenager was killed as a result. He has been identified as Kaden Blair of Swisher. 

ISP continues to investigate the incident.
