COLONA, Ill. — A house in Colona received heavy damage from a fire on Thursday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to the 500 block of South 3rd Street around 1:30 p.m. and arrived to smoke and flames coming out of the basement area.
Several area agencies were called to assist.
At last check, crews were still at the scene investigating and securing the area, but no information on the cause of the fire or any injuries have been reported yet.
