LEE COUNTY, Iowa — A Burlington man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lee County on Friday, May 10.
According to an Iowa State Patrol crash report, 90-year-old Allen Heisel, of Burlington, was killed in the crash, which happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday afternoon.
The report states that both vehicles were driving northbound on U.S. Highway 61 near 165th Street, north of Wever, when an SUV crashed into the rear of Heisel's pickup truck. The truck subsequently rolled over, ejecting Heisel from the vehicle.
The accident remains under investigation.
