BURLINGTON, Iowa — The Burlington Police Department said charges are expected after a parent reportedly assaulted a referee following a middle school basketball game.
According to a Facebook post, police responded to Edward Stone Middle School around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 regarding the assault.
Officials have identified the parent and criminal charges are expected. Further details will be released by the Burlington Police Department once an arrest has been made.
