DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport police are investigating after the body of a female was found in the Mississippi River near LeClaire Park on Thursday, Oct. 24.
According to a news release, police responded to the LeClaire Park riverfront just after 1 p.m. Officials found the body of an adult female in the river. An investigation determined the body to have been in the river for an extended period of time.
The incident remains under investigation. Officials have not yet identified the person. An autopsy is scheduled to identify the woman and the cause of death.
On Monday, Davenport police announced that they were seeking assistance in locating 24-year-old Olivia Harrison, who has been missing since Oct. 16. Police have not said if it's the same woman as the body still needs to be identified.
