ROCK ISLAND COUNTY, Ill. — A man has been arrested following a bi-state police chase, officials say.

On Tuesday, June 11, the Rock Island County Sheriff's Office learned of an alleged domestic incident after responding to a local hospital where the victim had severe internal injuries. Officials identified 44-year-old Joshua Lee Ross as a suspect.

Investigators said they learned Ross was in possession of the victim's vehicle, which was later located in Moline on Wednesday.

Later that afternoon, Rock Island County deputies and the Moline Police Department worked to locate Ross. Officials say he left a hotel and fled on I-74 towards Iowa in the vehicle. The sheriff's office, Bettendorf police, Davenport police and the Iowa State Patrol pursued Ross. He was eventually taken into custody near Fourth Street East and Marquette Avenue by Davenport police.

Officials say Ross is being held at the Scott County Jail on an active parole violation, pending further charges from law enforcement agencies in Scott and Rock Island counties.

The incident remains under investigation by the Rock Island County Sheriff's Office.
