MUSCATINE, Iowa — The latest film from Muscatine author Max Allan Collins is headed to the silver screen, and audiences in the Quad Cities region will have a chance to attend the premiere.
"Death by Fruitcake" is an adaptation of the Trash 'n' Treasures mystery series written by Collins and his wife Barbara Allan. Starring QC broadcast legend Paula Sands and Alisabeth Von Presley, the film shares the adventures of a mother-daughter detective team working to solve a murder.
The Palms 10 Theater in Muscatine will hold screenings of the film on Friday, Nov. 1 and Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. Collins and Sands will attend both nights, as well as other members of the cast and crew.
