DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport is set to host the second annual Pulling Focus African American Film Festival.
The festival highlights stories created by Black filmmakers from around the world, including several right here in the Quad Cities. Founded by Gaye Shannon Burnett and her son Jonathan, an independent filmmaker, organizers said the festival received over 110 submissions for its second year. Submissions came from places as close as Davenport and Rock Island to as far away as London.
