DAVENPORT, Iowa — A Davenport man has been charged after a deadly pedestrian accident back in December, according to police.
On Dec. 23, 25-year-old Caleb Hardy was struck by a vehicle in the 600 block of Waverly Road. The driver has now been identified as 45-year-old Justin Clemons of Davenport, according to an update from the police department. Hardy died on Dec. 28 from his injuries.
Davenport police announced on Friday, Jan. 12 that Clemons has been arrested in relation to the accident and is charged with the following: homicide or serious injury by vehicle, OWI 1st offense, failure to maintain control and speeding.
This incident remains under investigation; no further information is available at this time.
