DAVENPORT, Iowa — Davenport officials got to tour Davenport's Amazon distribution center as the company hosted a soft opening for the new facility on Oct. 25.
According to a release from the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce, new Amazon hires began working in the facility ten days ago, with 500 more employees expected to join by the end of the month.
According to the Chamber of Commerce, Amazon will fully launch and hold a grand opening for the center in the first quarter of next year. The company expects to have 1,000 employees working in the center by March 2024.
